Information collected
When you fill in the assessment form, we collect: your name, your company name, your email, your phone (if you provide it), the systems you use, the approximate number of users, the description of what is holding you back and, if you give it, your expected budget.
We only collect this information from you, when you send it to us. The site has no user accounts, no newsletter and no advertising.
Use
This information is used only to answer your request, prepare the assessment and, if you hire us, follow up on the engagement.
It is never sold, rented or used for any marketing other than answering your request. Your consent is requested when you send the form; you may withdraw it at any time.
Audience measurement
We measure site traffic with Matomo, configured without cookies. No cookie is stored on your device and no advertising profile is created.
The data collected is aggregated: pages viewed, date and time of the visit, device and browser type, referring site. IP addresses are anonymized before being stored.
Retention
Requests that do not lead to an engagement are deleted no later than 24 months after our last exchange. Information related to an engagement is kept for the length of the business relationship, then for the period required by tax laws.
At the end of the retention period, the information is permanently deleted from our systems.
Disclosure to third parties
We do not share your information with anyone else, except with the providers strictly needed to run the site, or when the law requires it.
These providers are: site hosting, on a server located in Beauharnois (Québec); SMTP2GO, which delivers the email produced by the form; Microsoft 365, where our mailbox is hosted; Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up access to the site; Matomo, for audience measurement. Some of these providers may process information outside Québec. We only use providers that offer adequate protection of personal information.
Your rights
You may at any time ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent to its use.
Write to us through the contact form. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Person in charge and contact
The person in charge of protecting personal information is Jean Lussier, founder of JL Dev.
For any question, write to us through the contact form.
Changes
We may update this policy, for example if our providers or practices change. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
