Access and Excel

Replace Access and Excel with a web application

Your Access database or Excel file runs the business, but nobody dares touch it anymore. We replace it with a web app you can reach from anywhere, without interrupting your operations.

Sound familiar?

  • Only one person really understands the file, and they retire soon.
  • It crashes as soon as two people open it at once.
  • You can't reach it remotely or over VPN.
  • Nobody really knows whether there is a backup.

Access and Excel

What we build

  • Access database → web app

The same data and business rules, in a secure web application you can use remotely.

  • Macro-filled Excel → web app

The file the whole team shares becomes an application, integrated with your CRM or Microsoft 365 if needed.

  • Data migration

Everything that can be migrated automatically is; for the rest, you choose who handles it. You know before the switchover what migrates and how.

  • No downtime

A parallel run for about a month, then a switchover on the date you choose with us. The old system stays available read-only.

Do you have to replace everything at once?

Not necessarily. For a pharmaceutical company whose Access database had become unusable remotely, we first fixed and adjusted the database so operations could continue. The new web version was built afterwards, without pressure.

What if we keep Excel?

An Excel file works fine as long as one person uses it. When a whole team depends on it, macros have piled up for years and the data lives apart from the CRM, every change becomes a risk. That was the case for a sales team that had used the same file since the early 2000s: it is now replaced by a web app integrated with its CRM.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Microsoft discontinuing Access?

No, Access still exists. But every version has an end-of-support date: Access 2016 and 2019 stopped receiving it on October 14, 2025, and Access 2021 on October 13, 2026. Without support, there are no more security patches. If your database runs on one of these versions, now is the time to talk.

Only one person understands our file. Are we stuck?

No. We document the business logic during the project, so the knowledge no longer depends on one person.

What happens to our existing data?

Everything that can be migrated automatically is: we build the import tools for your system. When some data was stored badly, you choose: we handle it, your team does it with an assisted migration tool we provide, or you leave it behind.

Do you rebuild features nobody uses anymore?

No, unless you want them. During discovery, we review what your team actually uses. Your new application is simpler, and you don't pay for the past.
